The Pause

In a world that is all too real, we watch the illusions play out before us. Fed by the hunger of nature, we stand beside a tree. But in an instant, we question whether we are truly present in this moment. The simple tale of our unreality is exposed as we become aware of the dance of the world around us, the positions we hold and the thoughts we hold, always looking to the future, never the present. We crave completion, yet something is never truly finished. We take a moment to return to where we truly belong. The shield of distance, our clothing, wondering alone in the grand scheme of the universe. Trapped in our own lives, we ponder our existence. We hold everything and everything is already within us, yet we are still curious, still young, still able to see the beauty in tears and understand the ugliness.

It’s a prematurely old yet beautiful thought.
